Hunters’ Ball
When hunters hired Alexander Prinz zu Solms-Braunfels at the Hotel Continental on March 4, 1905, they had no idea what development they were initiating. They organized this Vienna Hunters’ Ball out of the desire to help hunters and their families who were innocently in need and not to leave them in dire need.
The “Grüne Kreuz” association they founded still exists after more than 100 years and the Vienna Hunters’ Ball is still one of the most popular dance events in Vienna.
The annual Hunters’ Ball, which were only interrupted by the two world wars, provided the financial basis from the start to be able to serve the neighbor.
